Industry Strategy For a Low Carbon Economy

The Brazilian National Confederation of Industry (CNI) will hold the event “Industry Strategy for a Low Carbon Economy” on August 16 and 17, 2022. This event aims to promote dialogue in the business sector with national and international experts.
The strategy is based on four pillars: energy transition; carbon market; circular economy; and forest conservation. It will also be an opportunity to discuss relevant issues of the climate agenda that will be addressed in the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP-27 (Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, in November 2022).
In the current context of transition to a low-carbon economy, CNI is mobilizing the industrial sector and coordinating with the federal government and other stakeholders to build regulatory frameworks that bring legal security to investors and expand Brazil's participation in the global value chain, capitalizing on the country's competitive advantages.
At the event, the study “Sustainable Hydrogen: perspectives and potential for the Brazilian industry” will be launched. This study maps and uates sustainable hydrogen policies, initiatives and programs under development, both nationally and globally. The study uated, in particular, the opportunities and challenges for the use of sustainable hydrogen as an energy vector towards a low-carbon economy.
